Wheel rims with a sporty chrome look, and the body sporting a fancy bicolour design. That is how America loves the double cab even today! Its double cabin and the characteristic wavy bumpers have brought the VW T1 close to people’s hearts. And, this is why the hot rod look elevates this close connection to strongly emotional appreciation. Until 1967, the double cabin was manufactured in Hanover and exported with great success – in the end, with the large round indicators adorning the vehicle above the distinctive “Bulli” nose. These indicators moved upward in the years following 1963 and look like freckles, giving the 1:87 scale miniature of the VW “Bulli” a bubbly and sparkling personality.
Upper part of body olive grey, lower part of body pearl white. Headlamps transparent, tail lights red transparent inserts. Interior silver-grey. Inserted pearl white bumpers in US version. Chassis, wheels and steering wheel black. VW logo on the front imprinted in pearl white. Indicator surfaces traffic orange. Chrome rings and door handles imprinted silver. Surrounding stripes on the sides and the rear olive grey.
