Description
In this presentation, we continue following predominantly empty coal trains as they move north-west between Singleton and Narrabri.
We view a number of new long passing loops and a number of existing passing loops which have been extended to cover longer coal train operations, available as a result of the more gentle gradients of the ‘up relief’ roads viewed in Northern Coal 2013 Pt1. Also seen are the revised and new coal loading facilities for Whitehaven Coal at both Gunnedah and at Narrabri respectively.
Locomotive classes seen include EL, MZ, RL, TT, VL, WH, 48/482, 81, 82, 90 and 92 in the logos of CFCLA, Grain Corp, Independent Rail, PacNat, QUBE and Whitehaven whilst passenger equipment is represented by CountryLink Explorers.
