Description
“Stories of Steam – 17” presents spectacular scenes of NSW steam locomotives in operation.
Highlights include:
- 5910 running through the scenic Illawarra region in May 1993 and later storming up Cowan bank in June 1998.
- 3112 with a tour around the now closed Sydney goods line in June 2002, and later working to Valley Heights with 3526 in May 2004.
- Rare scenes of 3026 working from Cowra along the “pioneer” branch line to Canowindra in October1994.
- Coverage of the spectacular 2005 Thirlmere “Festival Of Steam” which featured a parallel run of three trains from Sydney to Strathfield hauled by 3112, 3801 & 3830, and then those three locos teaming up with 1210, 2705 & 3526 to haul numerous trains along the loop line from Picton and on to Buxton.
